Maya Rosen ‘25 is a senior concentrating in Social Studies and History of Science. She lives in Winthrop House and is originally from Miami, Florida. Growing up in politically diverse communities, Maya believes that we are better friends and thinkers when we encourage one another to share our beliefs and how we have come to hold them. Maya is eager to explore what “pluralism” and “discourse” mean and require. In her coursework and senior thesis, Maya hopes to understand whether, when, and how pluralism can exist when it comes not only to values but also to knowledge. Maya hopes that her involvement in Intellectual Vitality will be a project of reflection both about the “big” questions and the programs/policies that the university can implement to foster a culture of rigorous and charitable learning.
