Jack Flanigan ‘27 is a sophomore, Social Studies concentrator, and resident of Pforzheimer House. On campus, he is a singer and student leader in the Harvard Glee Club, as well as columnist on the Harvard Crimson’s Editorial Board and an editor of the Harvard Review of Philosophy. Jack’s interest in intellectual vitality stems from his experiences of robust and rigorous discourse in spaces from high school to Harvard. He is excited to explore intellectual vitality as an articulation of Harvard College’s mission—especially as it relates to the school’s responsibility to personally form its students, and its obligation to foster a culture of rigorous, engaged, and compassionate discourse on campus.
