Embracing Good Arguments

Bo Seo, ’17, HLS, 24 – a two-time world debate champion, former Harvard debate coach and author, believes good disagreements can strengthen communities and enlarge lives. In a conversation with the Resident Dean, Bo previews a workshop he designed. He hopes students will learn the debate fundamentals that helped him, from understanding disputes to making strong arguments. The lessons offer new perspectives on disagreements and tools to better connect in school and residential settings.

The workshop was open to the Class of 2027 and took place on April 25 at 5:00 PM in Emerson Hall, Room 305.
