Adams House

Ian Park is a sophomore in Adams House studying Biomedical Engineering and Classical Languages. In the former, he is interested in engineering synthetic molecules to solve longstanding problems in immunology, particularly in vaccine design. In the latter, he is interested in the various ritual texts and practices of the Ancient Greeks, particularly in the evolution of their language throughout different historical eras. As a result of his own diverse academic interests, he hopes to encourage a spirit of intellectual vitality in the academic community in order to promote exposure to valuable new perspectives, particularly in unfamiliar fields. A passionate researcher, he wishes to harness intellectual vitality to encourage an atmosphere of rigorous engagement through research amongst his peers. Through this, he hopes to create a stronger sense of belonging in the intellectual community for all of its members. He is a member of the Harvard Undergraduate Research Association, the Harvard Classical Club, and the Society of Physics Students, and conducts research at various laboratories in and around the Boston area. Outside of the classroom, he can be found running all across Cambridge, perusing bookstores for used classics, or checking out new restaurants with friends.
