Stella Kwon is a senior in Adams House concentrating in Social Studies with a secondary in Economics. Originally from Metro-Atlanta, Stella has served in a variety of student organizations in business, political advocacy, and public sector research, including Harvard Student Agencies, Harvard Undergraduate Capital Partners, Black Diamond Capital, LLC., The People Lab at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Undergraduate Urban Sustainability Lab.

She is currently a Daniel Fellow at Harvard Law School and volunteers at the Northeast Legal Aid and Harvard Square Homeless Shelter. Her primary interests are economic inequality, rural poverty, urban planning, and the social safety net. Growing up as a pastor’s kid in the South, navigating difficult conversations inside and outside of the church led her to ground disagreements in reciprocal grace, humility, and intellectual vitality Her passion in fostering civil discourse between seemingly juxtaposing views has continued to deepen––from studying cycles of poverty and evictions in rural Georgia to interning in finance in New York. Driven by a radical curiosity to understand individuals’ experiences, Stella believes that fostering intellectual vitality begins with deep empathy and the willingness to sit with discomfort and disagreement–turning conversation into community.

Through IV SAB, she hopes to cultivate spaces that honor human complexity and center radical curiosity, diversity in thought, and shared humanity. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, playing guitar, and drinking copious amounts of matcha.
