Gabrielle Demuren is a sophomore in Cabot House from Howard County, Maryland, concentrating in Government. She is passionate about public service, urban housing policy, civic engagement, and bridging systemic gaps through policy, education, and youth empowerment. Her academic and extracurricular pursuits reflect a deep commitment to uplifting marginalized communities and creating inclusive, equitable spaces.

On campus, Gabrielle serves as a Peer Advising Fellow, where she mentors first-year students and supports them in navigating their academic and social transitions. She also serves on the board of the Harvard Black Students Association as the Public Service Chair, is a staff writer and member of the Ethics Bureau for the Harvard Political Review, and interns at the Student Organization Center at Hilles (SOCH). This year, she was selected as a fellow in the Intercollegiate Civil Disagreement Partnership (ICDP) through the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics, where she engages in national dialogue focused on fostering empathy and understanding across ideological divides.

Gabrielle is excited to serve on the Intellectual Vitality Student Advisory Board, where she is committed to cultivating academic spaces that uplift curiosity, civil discourse, and diverse forms of knowledge. She believes that intellectual vitality is not only about asking, but also acting on, big questions, and she is passionate about building a campus culture where all students feel seen, supported, and empowered to pursue meaningful learning!
