Rachel is a senior in Currier House studying Physics with a secondary in Government and a citation in Spanish. Rachel's interest in intellectual vitality comes from her experiences attending nine schools in four countries before college. Constantly surrounded by people with different cultural values and viewpoints from her own, Rachel became invested in facilitating difficult conversations on controversial topics, even when consensus was unachievable. She also believes that higher education is the best forum for fomenting generational change by shaping the norms that college students bring into wider society.

Outside of Intellectual Vitality, Rachel is passionate about physical oceanography, which she researches with the Tziperman Group at Harvard, and international relations. She has worked as a researcher on campus for her entire time at Harvard exploring everything from dark matter to Atlantic Ocean currents. Rachel has also served as a Course Assistant for seven physics courses, running office hours and providing input on pedagogical decisions. Beyond academics, Rachel serves as a Peer Advising Fellow, where she mentors first-year students and guides them through the academic and social transition to college. Additionally, Rachel is the co-captain of Club Swim and Holiday and Culture Chair at Harvard Hillel. She has previously served as Treasurer of the Harvard Undergraduate Association and the Harvard College Democrats.

This year, Rachel is looking forward to supporting Harvard's Intellectual Vitality mission as it responds to a changing campus and global environment. She is also working on graduate school applications to continue her education.
