Colin Chu is a first-year student from Palo Alto, California. Colin is driven by the promise of intellectual diversity and rigorous discourse at Harvard and believes that finding shared unity and purpose is a fundamental tenet of building meaningful relationships with others. Through the Intellectual Vitality Student Advisory Board, he hopes to promote humility, empathy, and courage in student dialogue on campus.

Colin is interested in creating a world where individuals see each other as fellow humans rather than adversaries or enemies. Guided by a sense of gratitude and appreciation for Harvard's commitment to civil discourse and impact-based service, Colin believes that a world of optimism is one that focuses on solutions rather than solely problems.

In addition to serving on the Student Advisory Board, Colin is passionate about energy and physics, social impact and service, traditional finance, and venture capital. In his free time, Colin enjoys running along the Charles, engaging in deep conversations with others, and cheering on his hometown Golden State Warriors.
